When we think of girl talk, we think of all the little things that make up being a girl : the experiences we go through, the lessons we learn, the things we discover, and the moments that shape who we're becoming. From confidence and friendships to growing up, navigating life, finding inspiration, and even the things we simply love, this is a space for all the things that make girlhood what it is.

A cozy girls night in

Honestly, I think girls’ nights are one of those little parts of girlhood that you never really outgrow.

There’s something about a fall night spent at home with your girls that just feels right. No big plans or fancy reservations just cozy pajamas, way too many snacks, , a good playlist, and hours of talking about absolutely everything.

So if you’re planning a girls’ night in this season, here’s my idea of the perfect one. ♡

First things first: make it cozy. Put on a good playlist, light a candle, grab all the blankets you can find, some soft lighting, and a few little touches to make everyone want to curl up and stay awhile. And of course, comfy only. Matching pajamas are encouraged, but definitely not required.

Now for me, a fall girls' night in isn't complete without something baking in the oven.

Cinnamon rolls, apple pie, cookies... anything that makes the whole house smell like fall.

There's something so comforting about baking together. Someone's measuring ingredients, someone is sneaking a taste, someone is probably making a mess, and eventually you're all standing around the kitchen waiting for whatever you made to come out of the oven.

This is where the night really begins. Staying in equals movie marathon and skincare. Something nostalgic, something spooky, a classic you've watched a hundred times, or a movie you've been meaning to watch forever while having your fav facemask on.

Eventually, the movie becomes background noise. Someone brings up something random, and suddenly we're talking about everything. Relationships. Friendships. School. Work. Something embarrassing that happened years ago. Before you know it its 1 AM, The snacks are almost gone, someone is half asleep on the couch, and the movie has probably been paused at least three times. It's the kind of night that feels so ordinary while you're living it, but becomes one of those little memories you look back on later and smile.

We hear the words feminine energy everywhere lately but what does it actually mean? At its core, I think it’s about learning to slow down and let things unfold. It’s about dropping the need to force, plan every little detail, or try to control an outcome just to feel safe. When you’re constantly trying to control everything, you’re operating from a place of tension. And speaking as an oldest daughter who also tends to be avoidant, control can often feel like the safest place to be.

Stepping into your feminine energy means learning to let things be. What you need most is to trust yourself enough to let life unfold without constantly trying to get ahead of it. And that kind of surrender requires deep inner work. It starts with becoming secure enough in yourself to actually know what you want and trust that it's all gonna work out. I’ve had to become more aware of how my brain reacts almost on reflex, especially when things feel heavy. Instead of judging myself or trying to force a fix, it’s about pausing, staying grounded, and asking myself: What am I actually afraid of?

I also think that for so long, many of us are used to pouring all our energy outward. Feminine energy asks you to pour that energy into yourself. And I want to be clear: this isn’t a fake it till you make it process. It’s not about pretending to be calm, unbothered, or perfectly put together all the time. We’re human. We get triggered, we have messy days, and sometimes we fall back into old habits even when we’re trying not to.

There is no rush to get there. It’s part of the journey of understanding yourself and making peace with the parts of you that you’ve carried along the way.

And eventually, what once felt like something you had to consciously practice starts to flow naturally. You simply become her.

Feminine energy starts with you

learning to romanticize  life

I think I speak on everyone's behalf when I say sometimes life gets hard. Things happen, and we don't always have the energy to keep up with everything, whether it's our appearance, friendships, work, or just life in general.

Sometimes we're so focused on getting through the day that we forget to actually enjoy it. We put off the little things that make us happy because we feel like we have to wait for the “right” moment, the right circumstances, or for life to get better first. And I think that's where romanticizing your life comes in.

To me, romanticizing my life isn't about pretending everything is perfect or forcing myself to be happy when I'm not. It's about finding little moments of happiness in the life you're already living. It's making an ordinary Tuesday feel a little less ordinary.

Ngl though, I don't do it all the time either (guilty). But I feel like doing it as often as I can helps me, especially when I'm not doing the best mentally.

It could be as simple as making coffee in the morning, putting on your favorite TV show or movie, taking pictures of random things you find aesthetically pleasing. There's something about slowing down and actually noticing the little things that brings me so much joy. It doesn't have to be anything big or extravagant. Sometimes it's just putting on a song you love, making your favorite drink, getting dressed in an outfit that makes you feel good, or taking yourself somewhere you've been wanting to go.

I think we get so caught up waiting for the exciting parts of life that we forget the small moments are still part of our lives too. And honestly, those might end up being some of the moments we remember the most.

Got any suggestions?
